Earlier this week, Paradox Sports teamed-up with the American Mountain Guides Association for the first-ever adaptive specific CWI course. The three-day course was held at Earth Treks climbing gym in Golden, CO. Attendees included Mark Webb, Tim O’Neill, Craig DeMartino, Pete Davis, Sean O’Neill and Dan Sidles.

The AMGA and Paradox Sports have partnered to lead the way and challenge preconceived ideas about ability and who can offer education to others even though they may do it with one leg or one arm. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for adaptive climbers to become professional climbing instructors.

Thanks to course provider Mark Hammond, from the Colorado Mountain School and Ed Crothers, the Climbing Instructor Program and Accreditation Director for the AMGA for showing us the beginners mind allows you teach and to learn at all times,” said Paradox Sports Executive Director Timmy O’Neill.

Congrats to everyone who earned their certification and had a lot of fun in the process! Check out the photos below, courtesy of Ed Crothers.
