Paradox Ice 2014

THANK YOU for attending and for your support of Paradox Ice this year!

At our North Conway, NH event, we had an incredible group of folks who joined us including 4 paraplegics, 3 amputees, 1 blind participant, 1 with a neuromuscular disorder and 5 veterans. This was the first time ice climbing for most participants and everyone successfully got on the ice! We had an incredibly moving weekend and already can’t wait for next year!

At our Ouray, CO event, we celebrated our 7th annual Paradox Ice. We appreciate our partnership with the Ice Park and successfully raised $4,027 at our Got Stump event split between our two nonprofits! We maxed out participation in the event as we do every year with 26 participants and a large team of volunteers including 8 amputees, 5 paraplegics, 4 veterans, and 5 participants with various neurological and neuromuscular disorders.

Join us next year as we face the walls of vertical ice, learning about the specialized equipment and techniques needed for adaptive ice climbing. Men and women of all skill levels with a physical disability or adaptive need will receive instruction, guidance and gear from world class ice climbers. We extend a special invitation for disabled veterans and wounded military personnel. Please contact us for more information.
