Experiencing the outdoors on water – in rivers, lakes, the ocean – is a powerful way to connect with nature, learn about flow and how it’s a perfect metaphor for life… and it can be a great workout! Paradox Sports has three adaptive water events planned this year including a river rafting trip and 2 Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) days.
We added our first annual river rafting trip this year in partnership with Splore. This inaugural 2014 trip is open to disabled veterans and we plan to expand the program in 2015 and beyond. Please visit www.paradoxsports.org/veterans for more information and to find a link to registration.
Paradox Sports and Adaptive Adventures are teaming up again to bring you 2 free adaptive Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) events!
Enjoy an evening of learning about the sport of SUP, socializing, and a community BBQ at Lagerman Reservoir in Longmont. The event is open to adults and kids with physical disabilities and their family members or close friends. This is a great opportunity to relax after a busy week of work, connect with other like-minded people, and practice your paddleboard skills! No experience necessary, just a willingness to try a new sport or advance your skills and meet other people. Bring your own board or use ours, we will have plenty to go around for the night. Instructors and volunteers will be on hand to give you tips and tricks for success on the water.
Please bring your own item to grill at the BBQ and we will provide the drinks, rolls, condiments, and chips. Registration is required to ensure we have enough resources available for each event.
